Waitlist FAQs

  • We encourage families to join our waitlist as soon as they know they’re interested in being part of the Yalla community. Many families add their names while they’re still expecting, and that’s a wonderful time to do so. There’s really no such thing as “too early”—the sooner you join, the better your chances of securing a space when you’re ready.

  • When a space becomes available, families will receive an email notification. You’ll have three business days to reply, either accepting or declining the spot.

    Sometimes a space needs to be filled right away, while other times we’re able to honor a family’s preferred start date. In some cases, a spot may open earlier than requested, and accepting that earlier start becomes a condition of securing enrollment. Other times, we may have advance notice of an upcoming opening and can let you know the exact date your space will be ready.

    We do our very best to match each family with a spot that aligns as closely as possible with their preferred timing.

  • Yalla has four cohorts: infants, young toddlers, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our cohorts run year-round on an August–August cycle. Each August, children transition together with their peer group into the next classroom, which helps maintain consistency and strong relationships.

    If your child joins Yalla outside of that cycle, we’ll place them in the cohort that’s the best fit for their age and developmental stage. They’ll stay with that group until the following August, when they will move up alongside their peers.

  • No, the waitlist is only for families seeking ongoing enrollment. If you’re interested in short-term or occasional care, please visit our Drop-In Program page for details on vacancies and how to get started.

  • Flex seating is our most flexible option. These desks are located throughout our shared coworking areas, clearly labeled, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Flex seating is included as part of your cohort membership, and there are a variety of spots (upstairs, downstairs, tucked away, centrally located, etc.) to choose from.

    Reserved desks give you the consistency of having your own dedicated spot in our common areas. You can reserve a desk by the month or for specific days—pricing simply scales with how often you’d like your desk available.

    Private desks offer a quieter option, tucked within shared private offices or set apart from the main coworking areas. These are reserved on a monthly basis for an additional fee. And for those who need even more space, we occasionally offer full private offices (200–500 square feet) available to rent by the month.
